SOLAR WATER HEATER |

Solar Water Heater has a tank of steel or galvanized iron to store water. This tank starts leaking after some period of time. Conventional solution to that problem was to weld the leak, but that happened to be a temporary solution and thus had to be redone. This is a minor problem for smaller water heater, but for water heaters with a tank capacity of 2000 - 3000 Litres of Water, this happens to be a very costly affair and mostly renders the solar water heater useless.

Solar Street Light Problems |

Problem : |
Solar Street lights are used to power the streets at night so as to save the energy. For this the solar panel stores electricity in a battery during a day time and the power is used in the night. After 1:00 AM, traffic is rare and thus, the energy consumed by the street lights during that is effectively wasted. There is no dimmer like solution which would dim the street lights after 1 AM or would switch off alternative street lights completely.
Another problem is that street lights remain on frequently during the day time completely wasting energy.
Solar Street Light are charged by Solar PV Panels that are attached with the street lights at the top. In deserted places where monitoring is not feasible, these solar panels are stolen by theives as they are expensive. There is an absence of Solar PV Panel Anti-theft system.
Solar Street lights use battery boxes which houses the battery. These battery inside the battery box gets damaged in heavy rains. The design of the battery box needs to be improved.
