In this project we have shown that Capacitive Sensor senses orientation of the aircraft in terms of orientation of the ball. This sensation is due to change in distance between the plates.
The capacitive sensor designed here is a multi-purpose one. According to user requirement & producers ability this can be designed. due to variation of distance the capacitance changes & hence the electrostatic energy stored between the two plates changes, which is informed to the microcontroller in terms of voltage drop through Analog to Digital Converter. The microcontroller takes the input & compares this input with the previously stored value in EPROM. The EPROM stores the range. If the voltage drop across the capacitive sensor sensed, exceeds the range the microcontroller turns on the LED & the buzzer. This informs to the pilot about the orientation of the flight.
