23rd Shodh Yatra (28th May 2009 to 2nd June 2Phangia, Ratanmahal, Dahod District, Gujarat to Bhabra, Alirajpur District, Madhya Pradesh
The 23rd Shodhyatra will commence from Ratanmahal in the Dahod district. Ratanmahal is famous for the sloth bear sanctuary. The yatra will traverse through hills and jungles, pausing at villages, hamlets and will proceed towards Bhabhra covering approximately 100 kilometers over a period of five days. The stretch of the shodhyatra route is inhabited primarily by various tribal groups like Rathawa, Nayak, Bhil, Bhilala, Patliya. Bhabhra, where the Shodhyatra culminates is the birth place of the famous freedom fighter, Chandra Shekhar Azad and a small memorial has also been erected here in this honour.

You are requested to get your reservations as soon as possible. Dahod is the nearest and Godhara is the most accessible railhead. Phangia is approximately eighty kilometers from Godhra and Dahod and can be reached easily by bus. The nearest airports are Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
