In power system measurement of electrical parameters like ac voltage ac current frequency powr factor and energy are required for monitoring alarm improvement and protection is must for each device, and to protect device it is required to have values of smooth operation of any plant. This project deals with the measurement of frequency and power factor measurement. If the powerfactor is poor it can connect the capacitor across load and improve the power factor, if all the capactors are connected and still if power factor is poor it can give the alarm to draw the attention of the supervisor.
