An optimal use of water reservoir is emphasized while planning Micro Canal Network System. For this purpose a system comprising of layout and planning of network, irrigation and design of various network structures is necessary for determining optimal management policy. The main objective is to develop a computer code, which deals with the design of various aspects of micro canal network planning. The complete design is to be in a modular pattern coded in as appropriate programming language in Visual Basic 6.3.1.The output should be in the form of the a document, which enables quick checking and modifications whenever and wherever required and displays appropriate messages during execution, which helps any novice user for running the same with no difficultly. It should be also be capable enough of interlinking design output with Autocad for generation of general arrangement drawings.
