Petroleum products are finishing at a very fast pace and it is not too long that they will be consumed entirely. We are already looking forward for alternative ways for generating energy.Hydrogen is high in energy, yet it is dangerous to handle as well as little amount of leakage can lead to severe destruction. Detection of a mere leakage is very important for using it as fuel.
In this project, we are going to design a system for Hydrogen Gas Detection using microcontroller and hydrogen gas nanosensor.
Due When sensor is exposed to hydrogen gas,due to adsoprtion of gas over the surface of sensor , redox reaction occur between hydrogen and oxyen gases leading to decrement in barrier height thus resulting in reduction in sensor resistance. We ought to design a sytem such that it generates a signal ( in the form of alarm or message ) when the concentration of Hydrogen gas increases from its critical value. In future, it can be extended to other gaeses like carbondioxide, methane, LPG etc.
