This PWM based DC motor drive can be used to control the permanent magnet DC motor which is used to control various applications like, it can be used to control the robot applications. The drive is programmed to be as user friendly as possible. The user can program the drive to run according to his requirements. Once drive is programmed the user can move the robot in forward, reverse, right, and left directions. It can be reprogrammable. If the power is switched off, the previous program is retained and when the drive is enabled again, the motor starts running assuming the same configuration. The user can program the drive for various speeds by the digital input. As the hardware is reduced, the wear and tear of the drive and hence cost is reduced, thereby increasing the life of the drive. These are the few added advantage over analog version. A drive that makes it more user friendly compact and versatile.
