A remote control device stores commands which are received through a telephone line and transmits command signals to operate designaed apparatus according to the stored commands. These command signals may be transmitted by infrared light or supersonic waves through one or more transmitters. By using telephone based remote one can operate any device from anywhere. The distance in this can be very long till the telephone cable can be laid. One can control the device from any distance whether the person is present at that place or not.
